We are looking for a sushi head chef at a creative Japanese restaurant in New York. You will be responsible for the overall quality and operation of the kitchen, such as proposing new menus and mentoring the team. We welcome those who have a deep understanding of Japanese food and are highly skilled.
Main business content
- Preparation and arrangement of sushi, sashimi, and Japanese food
- Food hygiene management, kitchen cleaning/organization
- Proposals for new menu development (according to seasonal ingredients)
- Food inventory management and ordering assistance
- Efficient operation response during peak hours
- Staff training and mentoring
Eligibility
- 3 years or more of work experience as a sushi chef (5 years or more is a plus)
- Those who are confident in their knowledge about knife techniques and sushi
- Food hygiene knowledge and compliance awareness
- Those who can work while maintaining quality even in busy kitchens
- Those who have a sense of new ideas and presentation
- Those who can value teamwork
- Experience in menu planning is a plus
salary
Annual salary from $75,000 (preferential treatment depending on experience)
