We are seeking an experienced Omakase Chef to join a high-end Japanese restaurant in New York. The chef will curate seasonal ingredients to prepare an exquisite multi-course menu. Responsibilities include menu development, ingredient selection, kitchen management, staff training, and ensuring top-quality food presentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Japanese restaurant
- Expertise in Japanese cuisine and culinary techniques
- Exceptional knife skills and fish handling experience
- Strong leadership to oversee and train kitchen staff
- Bilingual in Japanese and English preferred (not required)
Salary
$5,500 – $8,000 per month ($66,000 – $96,000 annually)
