Required Skills

  • Experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef specializing in Japanese cuisine and sushi
  • Expertise in fish procurement and sourcing premium ingredients
  • Strong background in menu development (experience launching a new restaurant is a plus)
  • Management experience in a high-end sushi bar and full-service restaurant
  • Ability to recruit, train, and lead a high-performing kitchen team
  • In-depth knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation
  • Proficiency in cost control, inventory management, and maximizing profitability

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a menu that blends tradition with creativity
  • Collaborate with the bar program to design complementary dishes
  • Lead kitchen setup, including equipment selection, layout optimization, and vendor negotiations
  • Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring a cohesive and skilled team
  • Maintain the highest standards in food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Oversee inventory, reduce food waste, and optimize cost efficiency
  • Stay ahead of culinary trends to evolve the menu and strengthen brand positioning

Working Hours

  • Full-time (shift-based)
  • Shifts: Day, evening, and weekend availability required
