Executive Banquet Chef Position Available at a World-Renowned Hotel's Restaurant

We are seeking an Executive Banquet Chef for our restaurant located in a globally recognized hotel in Manhattan, New York. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations for large-scale banquets and events, from menu development to cooking and operational management. We are looking for someone who can collaborate effectively with the Banquet Director and catering team to deliver the highest quality cuisine and seamless service. Work Environment & Culinary Style:Our hotel is known for its sophisticated banquet menus, hosting a variety of events ranging from weddings and corporate gatherings to VIP parties. The position demands innovative cooking that utilizes seasonal ingredients and requires beautiful presentation.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive Chef
  • Extensive experience in banquet services within high-end restaurants or hotels
  • Advanced knowledge of cost control, inventory management, and food procurement
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Strict adherence to hygiene and food safety standards
  • Proficiency in Italian cuisine and ability to deliver authentic dishes

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality banquet menus that leverage seasonal ingredients
  • Maintain consistency in food quality and taste, upholding high culinary standards
  • Collaborate with clients and event planners to customize menus
  • Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation for large-scale events
  • Maximize revenue through ingredient cost control, portion management, and inventory management
  • Train, manage, and schedule banquet kitchen staff
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and conduct regular inspections

  • Full-time position with shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays
