A prestigious luxury hotel in New York is seeking an Assistant Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef and oversee kitchen operations. This role involves managing staff training, menu development, quality control, and cost management to maintain the highest culinary standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or higher in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, recipe programs, purchasing & payroll software)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Salary
$85,000 – $88,000 per year
