We are seeking a Sushi Chef with strong leadership skills, teamwork, and the ability to handle high-volume orders in a fast-growing business. The ideal candidate must strictly adhere to recipe procedures, manage ingredients effectively, and uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Work Environment & Cuisine Style

This restaurant offers a variety of sushi dishes, including maki, temaki, nigiri, sashimi, poke, and crudo. It provides an opportunity to refine your sushi-making skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a sushi restaurant
  • Strong fish preparation skills (filleting, slicing, sashimi cuts)
  • Ability to follow exact sushi-making procedures
  • Strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Previous New York restaurant experience is a plus
  • NYC Food Protection Course Certification (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare various sushi dishes (maki, temaki, nigiri, sashimi, poke, crudo)
  • Handle and cut fish properly (filleting, slicing, sashimi preparation)
  • Maintain ingredient quality and manage inventory
  • Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards
  • Work efficiently and accurately in a high-paced environment

Working Hours

  • Full-time (shift-based)
  • Day Shift: 9 AM / 10 AM – 6 PM
  • Night Shift: 6 PM – 2 AM / 3 AM
